Downtown Block Party, featuring The Paul Grimshaw Band, to rock out East College Avenue this Thursday, April 27th

Main Street Hartsville is gearing up for another street celebration of the local talent and businesses which set Hartsville apart at this Thursday’s Downtown Block Party, featuring The Paul Grimshaw Band, sponsored by SPC Credit Union.

From the band’s website,

“The Paul Grimshaw Band (PGB) began performing in the greater Myrtle Beach area in 2001 to meet the demand of restaurants and concert venues seeking high quality, affordable, family-friendly, diverse live music options for a broad clientele. From vacationers to demanding locals, the PGB sound is unique, mixing acoustic guitars with electric lead guitar, along with and bass and drums to recreate a broad range of styles with some 700 songs in its repertories. From country classics to classic rock, from Jimmy Buffett-styled tropical-rock and reggae, to alternative and indie pop, and of course, plenty of dance music, the PGB never fails to entertain and play to the crowd.”

The event is Thursday, April 27th from 6 to 9 p.m. is coming to the newly paved portion of East College between Fourth Street and Fifth Street, and will not only feature the concert but also a community coming together with sidewalk sales, food and drink vendors. Both parking lots will remain accessible from the Fourth Street (Coker College) side.
